Lucie Newcomb has been opening markets and opportunities for IT & Services companies, including market leaders like Cisco, IBM and Johnson & Johnson, and innovative former start-ups, such as Marvell Semiconductor and Quote.com. A head of Marketing, Communications and Sales departments since 1983, Lucie has presented at more than a dozen industry conferences worldwide and is the author of a dozen executive training courses, including “How to Buy Effective Market Research” and “Defining Your Profit Zone“ featuring her BestPricing (SM) system and based on the work of Adrian Slywotzky. Hers was one of only 35 consultancies approved by the South African government for its productivity improvement program (me). She has also held a number of leadership roles, including co-Founder, with the US Consul General, of the Cape-American Business Council in Cape Town, South Africa. In addition to serving on the Advisory Board of Aerio, an innovative open source software company, she has also been on the Boards of professional and community groups, such as American Marketing Association Chapters, since 1991. She spearheaded the AMA Business Book Collection at the University of St. Petersburg, Russia project. She is the former Chair of the GraceNet Mentoring Partnership Program, a respected global association for women in technology. She has been active recently in the International Leadership Association as the Convener for the Leader as Reader virtual book club and the ILA's Learning Community on Philosophy, Religion and Worldviews, and TEDX Bay Area Women's Organizing Committee. She is Mentor in the TechWomen IT Mentorship program of the U.S. State Department, the US Market Access Center accelerator for foreign-based entrepreneurs, Impact Hub Harare and 3Plus International for career women.
